About the Project

The Rightly Guided is a Muslim aid group that seeks to assist and empower oppressed and needy Muslim communities throughout the world through sustainability – a sharp contrast to “one-off” aid projects we commonly see. Our current work is in Sierra Leone, one of the poorest countries on the planet. It is a majority-Muslim nation very badly in need, yet seldom spoken about. The goal of this mission is not merely Sierra Leone – it is ultimately to empower the impoverished Muslim Ummah across the African continent in its entirety to be highly self-sufficient and to become world leaders in academic and economic advancement.

We’re doing this by striving to build a model Islamic city which produces highly-skilled individuals capable of advancing communities throughout the rest of the country. We’re starting in a village near Freetown, Sierra Leone, where we’re building an Islamic school and feeding the needy in the community. In the near future, we will be expanding the school to include other facilities, including a medical clinic inshAllah.
